A reference check is typically a list of 10-15 questions of your creation that will be responded to by a contact that the candidate has provided who could be a former colleague, a peer, a boss or a school teacher etc. An employment check is where Veremark will reach explicitly out to the HR team or direct line manager to confirm several key data points alone such as their title, exact dates of employment, eligbility for rehire and number of direct reports if any.
