Why are webhooks important for integrating with the Veremark API?

Optionally you can have your application repeatedly asking Veremark for the latest status of a background Check.  Conversely webhooks are crucial for building an efficient integration because they enable event-driven updates. Veremark pushes updates to you automatically when statuses on Requests or Checks move through the workflow.  For example, you'll receive a notification when Checks are in progress, or when a review is required.
