# Do I need to conduct both authentication and accreditation checks?

Authentication Checks are required to ensure your candidate was indeed awarded the educational qualification from the institution.

If the school is not found on the MOM dropdown list of top tier schools (via the [Self-Assessment Tool here](https://www.mom.gov.sg/eservices/services/employment-s-pass-self-assessment-tool)), you will need to order an Accreditation Check as well.
