Does Veremark support Adverse Action?

Veremark can facilitate the Adverse Action process on behalf of its clients.

Adverse Action is mandated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) when a candidate is denied employment as a direct result of information obtained from a background check. Under the FCRA, it is the obligation of the employer to contact the candidate to complete the adverse action process, not the Credit Reporting Agency (CRA)/background screening company.

The CRA or screening company that produces the background check may, but is not required to, facilitate the adverse action process on the client's behalf.
