What is a Veremark Criteria?
In this article, you will learn what Criteria are, why they are essential, and how they function within the Veremark platform.
What is a Veremark Criteria?
A Criteria is a pre-configured package of background checks saved on your account. Every candidate request you submit requires an associated Criteria to tell Veremark exactly which verifications need to be conducted.
A Criteria is completely customisable and can include:
- A single check type (e.g., just an Employment Check or an Academic Check).
- A combination of multiple checks (e.g., Identity, Criminal, and Credit Checks bundled together for a finance role).
How Criteria Make Ordering Easier
Instead of manually selecting individual checks every time you onboard someone, you can create standardized templates tailored to different roles, seniority levels, or regions (for example: "UK Dev Team Standard" or "US Executive Search").
Once your Criteria template is saved, submitting a request is incredibly simple:
- Click 'New Request' on your dashboard.
- Choose your saved Criteria.
- Enter your candidate's name and email, and hit send!
💡 Tip: Need to make a one-off adjustment? You can quickly edit individual checks within a Criteria on the fly when sending a new request using the inline edit options.
