What is the difference between reference checks and employment checks?

The key difference between these two checks, is that a reference check is a subjective piece of feedback on an individual's performance and character.  Where as an employment check is an objective verification of an individual's employment: where they worked, dates employed, role name, etc

A reference check typically comprises 10-15 questions  that will be responded to by a contact that the candidate nominates, typically a former line manager. Veremark provides a set of proven templates for different role types that will help generate a complete picture of what it is like to work with an individual.
